If you’re a product manager, is there anything worse than negotiating product feature scope?  It doesn’t have to be so painful. When product managers and engineers begin scope negotiations with a feature list, everyone loses, especially the customers.

The Playbook: Begin scope negotiations with a list of user stories. Determine the user stories that must be supported to deliver minimum value to the market, and then determine the features necessary to satisfy each user story. Worst-case scenario — features can still be cut from scope without cutting the entire user story.
